Contaminated Sites

PGL started as a contaminated sites shop, so if it’s relating to contaminated sites, in the last 30+ years, we have probably done it: due diligence, litigation support, second opinions/strategy, regulator management, remediation, risk assessment. We’ve worked with most remediation techniques, and just about any contaminant you can think of, from arsenic to PFOS. We are frequently called upon to rectify the mistakes of other consultants.

Green Building and Sustainability

PGL’s sustainability services primarily encompass green building assessments and event sustainability support for the events and film industries. Our green building projects include managing accreditation to facilitate municipal approvals, such as LEED certification.

Environmental Planning

PGL’s planning services focus on environmental impact assessment (EIA) project management and encompass a range of in-house services, including:

Agriculture

PGL’s agriculture services are rooted in soil science and vegetation management, with a focus on land capability. We are experienced in working on projects related to British Columbia’s Agricultural Land Reserve and have a particular niche in the mushroom industry, specifically in odor management.

Groundwater

PGL’s groundwater team offers expertise in a range of areas, including groundwater supply development, aquifer mapping, permit and license procurement, protection and remediation, construction dewatering, and community-based monitoring programs. Our team has extensive experience with the City of Vancouver’s Groundwater Management Protocol.

Indoor Environment Sampling & Management

PGL has a dedicated team for the assessment of hazardous building materials, mold, and indoor air quality. Our services are offered to the property management, insurance, and restoration industries and encompass testing, remediation planning, specification preparation, on-site remediation monitoring (visual inspections and air monitoring), and project closure reporting.
